Website started around 10 years ago. It is hosted on a dedicated windows 2000 server.
There is a partly finished blog that uses mysql and wordpress.
The attempt was not completed properly but nearly 30,000 messages were uploaded to wordpress.
Our objective is to replace the sites present home page with the blog.
We need to remake the template for that blog home page.
The blog messages posted already will then appear on the home page, 25 at a time, then continuing onto a second page etc.
These 25 messages will be on 2/3 of the home page from left to right. Down the right 1/3 there will be a clickable list of around 800 topics which are the topics covered by the sites blog.
Each topic in that list should be clickable taking the user to a page which featurese in date order blog search results from wordpress for that term ie click on sport and go to the sport page (static) which is based on the same template as the home page, but is headed Sport and that page can be www.ouroldwebsite.com/sportforum or www.ouroldwebsite.com/sportblog
Also in the search box you should be able to search the messages from the wordpress database.
If you post a message it must go to a page where we, the moderator can approve it, change it, or not approve it.
You should receive an email when your post is posted live.
When somebody comments on your post it must go to a page where we, the moderator, can approve it, change it, or not approve it.
You and the person commenting should receive an email when your post is posted live.
So if 20 people posted a comment to your post every time an additional comment is posted both you and all the 20 commenters should receive an email saying a reply to their comment concerning ...... has been posted. Visit the URL to see the reply.
Also the site has an email list of 37,000 names in a database - that needs converting to a text file. Then it needs putting into software to send a newsletter to all of the addresses, add new names, delete dead names etc. which software do you recommend for this.
SEO - we wish to add a site map to the site for google, msn, yahoo.
We need the homepage and all the new 800 topic pages be set up so we can from an admin page add keywords metatags etc to those pages.
Also the homepage and all the new 700 health topic pages need to be set up so we can add a description to each page that can be found by a search engine robot - I think we should be able to post this also from an admin page.
We want you to complete this on your server and then put it live on our server when it is ready?
Would you confirm if you have worked on a project like this previously?
Can you provide a quotation (not by the hour) to complete this project and confirm how quickly it can be done. Also confirm what kind of guarantee you provide. |
